Meet Julia!
Based in Christchurch and raising three energetic boys (9, 7 and 2), along with a black lab and a trio of chickens, Julia knows exactly what it means to fit training into real life. No perfect routines. No endless time. Just smart, effective workouts that actually work — and feel good doing them.
But here’s where it gets even better…
Julia didn’t start her career in fitness. She was a Civil Engineer — and honestly, it still shows. As she puts it, she’s simply shifted from engineering buildings to engineering women’s bodies. And that mindset runs through everything she does. Her sessions are thoughtful, purposeful, and built to get results without breaking you in the process.
Training that works with your body
Julia is deeply passionate about women’s health, especially when it comes to training through peri and post menopause. She’s a self-confessed research nerd (our kind of person), constantly staying up to date with the latest science and translating it into workouts that make sense for your body, your hormones, and your life.
Her approach? Train smarter, not harder.
Expect high-intensity, seriously effective sessions, balanced with an understanding of recovery, breathwork, and the nervous system. The kind of training that leaves you feeling strong, energised, and capable… not completely wiped.
From “last in cross country” to finding her strength
Julia wasn’t always the sporty one. In fact, she was the kid who came last in cross country. But somewhere along the way, she discovered what movement could do, not just physically, but mentally too.
It changed everything.
She found confidence. Energy. A sense of self. (She even met her husband at the gym đź’™)
Now, she’s all about helping other women experience that same shift, in a way that feels achievable, supportive, and sustainable.
