Support Rural Mental Health in NZ
Times are tough for many on farms and in rural areas. The Rural Change programme proudly funds mental health support for all New Zealand food and fibre producers including livestock farmers, cropping farmers, horticulture, rural mums and partners, shearers, rural based vets and rural professionals.
However due to the devastating impacts of Cyclone Gabriel in Hawke's Bay and Tairawhiti, The Rural Change programme went on hold earlier this year when it became inundated with applicants for their service. However, they are now funding this waitlist - thanks to donations like ours.
Nationwide - Rural people deserve access to mental health support and YOU AND I CAN HELP!

Why Move for Rural Mental Health?
When the Cyclones hit Hawkes Bay and Tairawhiti we felt helpless. Many brands were stepping in to help and we wanted to help too. But everything we thought of felt token, and we wanted to really make a difference in people's lives.
So we donated money and left it, knowing that the recovery was going to be long and we could help when much of the other support had faded.
Then when I saw that the Rural Change programme was on hold and unable to help mental health in rural NZ due to overloading caused by the struggles from the Cyclone, I knew exactly how we could help.
So I got in touch with my friend and proud rural advocate Philippa Cameron, and together we came up with the idea of Move for Rural Mental Health. A way to raise money for rural NZ that also helps those who donate money as well.
Thank you so much for supporting this initiative. No matter how big or small your donation is, it will make a difference.

About the Rural Change Programme
Rural Change is a funded private well-being program for New Zealand farmers and those living rurally or in the agricultural sector, operated by the Will To Live Charitable Trust.
Each farmer will have the opportunity to enhance and improve their health, happiness and well-being by accessing a personalised health professional guide, one funded private counselling/psychologist session, and onboarding to Rural Support Trust for future support.
Generally going private will mean shorter wait times and more experienced professionals that are dedicated to restoring your health long-term.
The Rural Change programme went on hold earlier this year when it became inundated with applicants for their service. However, they are now funding this waitlist- thanks to donations like ours.
Donate to the Move for Rural Mental Health Initiative on Givealittle and take part in the 7-day movement challenge, to support our community members in need. All funds raised go directly to the Rural Change Programme run by the Will To Live Charitable Trust.
