Meet Our New Yoga Trainer: Jacq
We’re so excited to introduce you to the newest powerhouse joining our DediKate training team — Jacqueline (Jacq) Manson. Jacq is a globe-trotting, trail-running, mountain-loving yoga instructor with a huge heart and a calm, grounded energy that you’re going to feel the moment you roll out your mat with her.
She’s just returned from the For Rangers Ultra (yes, seriously!), and brings a unique blend of strength, stillness, adventure and breath-led mindfulness to every session she teaches. We know you’re going to absolutely love her.
Get to know Jacq below, she’s honest, funny, thoughtful, and truly dedicated to helping you feel strong, steady and present both on and off the mat.
What’s your favourite way to move your body when you’re not doing yoga?
Easy, running & Hiking in the mountains or off-road trails!
Do you have a go-to mantra or quote you love to share in class?
"Strong, healthy, calm, wise" is my go-to life mantra that I like to share and use when I'm out on long adventures or races that have crossed over into type 2 fun (eg: not fun at the time but remembered fondly some time later). I say it on repeat, often in my head to keep going and get through a tough patch. For relaxation in savasana its nice to add a full deep inhale and exhale breath for each word and really let them settle in. Ahhhh
What’s something surprising or fun that people might not know about you?
I was delivered by a drunk doctor via c-section who didn’t give mum quite enough anesthetic to not feel getting stitched up (😬 tough lady). All on a Sunday afternoon on a little island with no trees in the middle of the North Sea.

If you could teach a yoga class anywhere in the world, where would it be?
At the beautiful lodges on the Laikipia Plains of Kenya. Out on the sun deck overlooking a waterhole full of elephants, zebra and rhino - magic!
What’s your ultimate post-yoga treat or go-to snack?
Whittakers Dark Chocolate Sante Bars and yes I know you can buy it in a full block for a fraction of the price but it’s not the same. Once I start... I've had to knock it on the head and go cold turkey to break the habit. Something with more nutritional value and just as sweet is my banana, honey, peanut butter, cacao, milk smoothie - so damn good.
What are you most excited for the DediKate community to experience in your sessions?
For DediKaters to see and feel gradual improvement in their strength, balance and flexibility. Also to have people step off the mat at the end feeling calmer and more present than when they started the session 🙂
