From Wagga to Bondi – A Week Full of Workouts, Connection and Country Hospitality 🌾💪
What an incredible week it’s been travelling through regional Australia! From Orange to Wagga and the small but mighty town of Lockhart, I was reminded (yet again) just how special it is to connect with women through movement, community and conversation.
This trip had it all, workouts, workshops, home-cooked meals, content shoots, and plenty of laughs along the way! I was joined by 2 of our amazing DediKate trainers Anna and Kath (who was the perfect host in Lockhart).
Small Town, Big Energy 💫
Our evening event in Lockhart was a real highlight! We hosted a 20-minute workout and panel discussion on exercise as part of a fundraiser for the local footy and netball club. It was such a joy to be part of a local community event, meet DediKate members in person, welcome new ones, and of course, sample some of Kath’s famous baking! 🤤
The passion and positivity in the room were infectious – proof that you don’t need a big city to have a big impact.
Nourish Through Menopause Workshop 🫶
In Orange, we teamed up with the wonderful team at @nourish_through_menopause for an intimate workshop on Thriving with Exercise in Peri to Post Menopause.
We explored key topics such as:
- The power of strength training for women in midlife
- How to optimise your exercise for better bone, muscle and mental health
- Why traditional training methods don’t always work as well in this stage of life
- The importance of breathwork, mobility, pelvic floor awareness and recovery
- How to build sustainable exercise habits that last
These small group events really fill the cup, they create space for connection, honest conversations, and lightbulb moments. It was so special having a DediKate member there, and even better that two new members joined our one-year plan after the event!
Live Mindset & Exercise Session with Sarah Dickie 💭✨
Anna and I also hosted a Live Mindset and Exercise Session via Instagram on the road with our incredible Mindset Coach @sarahdickiecoaching! 🙌
If you missed it, there were so many great insights and practical tips to help you stay consistent with exercise. Sarah shared how self-awareness and compassion can make all the difference when building long-term healthy habits.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us live and to Sarah for your incredible knowledge and inspiration! 🫶
Menopause Awareness Week Live Workout 💪
To round off an amazing trip, we went live for Menopause Awareness Week with a 20-minute HIIT workout optimised for peri to post menopause, alongside the fabulous crew at @fisherandfarmer!
It was so much fun moving together and connecting with so many women who joined us live from around New Zealand and Australia. Thank you for bringing the energy!
If you missed it, grab your workout gear and jump in we know you’ll love it! There are options for everyone, no matter your stage or fitness level.
Team Time and Adventures 🚙🌾💚
One of the best parts of this trip was spending quality time with Anna and Kath. We don’t often get to be in the same place, so having the chance to brainstorm new ideas, shoot content together, and just hang out between events was such a treat.
We squeezed in early morning walks, plenty of snack stops, lots of laughs, and some great chats about everything from training and family life to what’s next for DediKate. These moments always remind me how lucky we are to have such a passionate, supportive team who genuinely love what they do.
A Week to Remember ☀️
Between the events, we explored the beautiful countryside, met incredible women, and enjoyed some well-earned downtime. From photoshoots and workouts to home-cooked meals and impromptu road trip sing-alongs, it was the perfect mix of work, connection, and fun.
And yes… we finished the week with a little Bondi recharge, because balance is everything! 🏖️
Huge Thanks 🙏
A massive thank you to everyone who made this week so special: Anna for being the best travel buddy, @nourish_through_menopause, @locallovely, @fisherandfarmer, Bec from Lockhart, and of course to Kath and the wonderful Schirmer family for their warm hospitality.
Trips like this remind me why I started Kate Ivey Fitness in the first place, to connect, empower, and show women that no matter where you live, movement and mindset can completely change how you feel.
